1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in, we collect the email address and authentication credentials associated with your account so we can verify your identity and keep your session secure.

Humidor & scan content. Photos you capture or upload for cigar identification, and the cigar records you save (brand, line, notes, quantities, and related metadata), are processed to provide the core features of the app. On-device storage may keep a local copy of your humidor for offline use.

Usage & device data. We may collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and approximate diagnostics needed to keep the Service reliable and secure.

Communications. If you contact support, we receive the content of your message and any contact details you provide.

2. How we use information

• Identify cigars from band or wrapper photos using AI vision.
• Maintain your humidor inventory and related preferences.
• Authenticate you and protect accounts from unauthorized access.
• Improve accuracy, performance, and reliability of the Service.
• Respond to support requests and important service notices.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

3. AI processing

Cigar identification may send image data to a third-party AI vision provider solely to return structured product attributes (for example brand, vitola, strength, and tasting notes). Images are used for that request and are not sold. Do not upload photos of people, documents, or anything unrelated to cigars you intend to identify.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers who host infrastructure, authentication, or AI identification under contractual confidentiality obligations.
• Legal authorities when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Service.
• People you choose when you use share features (for example SMS or the system share sheet). Content you send is under your control.

5. Data retention

We retain account and service data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated server-side data by contacting support. Local device copies can be removed by deleting the app or clearing app storage.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and keep your device updated.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Tobacco-related products are intended for adults of legal smoking age in their jurisdiction. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your choices

• Access or update account email via support request.
• Delete saved cigars inside the app at any time.
• Request account deletion by emailing support.
• Control camera and photo library permissions in your device settings; identification requires a photo you choose to provide.

9. International users

The Service may be operated from the United States. If you access it from another country, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other locations where our providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
